I have customer that has a Zenith z-star 700 (Pentuim 166) laptop that has a fault in that it will on power up (regardless of how it was shut down)on occassion enter sleep mode and from there hang.
After many attempst to power down and then power up the machine will eventualy reboot correctly.
I've tried the latest BIOS tried disabeling the laptop screen close detection and altered the bios settings to disable power saving with no luck.
Does anyone have any sujestions as the customer is giving me a pain in the neck over this.
was this a feature(problem) with this machine
the manufaturer website seems to be offline.
