zend studio on XP

Does any one out there run Zend studio on XP home?. The web site says you need XP pro, I've emailed Zend but no reply is forthcoming !

A year old version of Zend Studio works on my XP Home. The only thing lacking from XP Home is some 'pro' networking capabilities. You can still run Apache and PHP from XP Home.

FROM ZEND.COM: The Zend Development Environment is likely to work under other platforms which support the Java 2 environment. However, it is not officially supported under these platforms.

So did the trial software not work?

The PDF on the zend site just says XP but the site itself says pro. I saw the statment about Java (wonderfull Java !), and I should have really tried out the trial, which I'll do tonight. To be honest my interest has been awokwen by the free upgrade to 5 and the free t-shirt !

The portability of the Java app is nice but you may pay a price in speed as I find Java apps run too slowly on some older systems. You may find a good free alternative IDE for Windows that works outside of Java overhead. Options for an IDE have been discussed many times in this forum and a FAQ is available.
