Hello I run Apache2, PHP5 etc.. on my local XP machine
for a project I need to use the Zend optimizer
I found on Zend site an Optimizer for Wins version
it's an Auto Exec, so before possibly creating "Havoc!" on my system I would like to know if anyone has done it yet?

Thanks

Sorry - but a LAMP box really is:
LINUX (not Windows)
Apache
MySql
PHP

So, I could answer to the title - Zend Optimizer on LAMP: no problem. Windows? Don't know.

Well, yes and not

The components are Linux originated but they are special Wins versions
As such you cannot communicate with the LAMP applications, as you would do with your production server

So I am not sure which Optimizer to use
The Linux one or the Wins one?

There is probably no question that you should use the Windows version. I would create at least a restore point or an image before install.

Thanks Vragabond,

Has anyone done it?

I am always cautious before running an auto exec when I cannot look/know what will come out of running it.

The restore point is a good start thanks
