Ok so here is the problem I hope can be solved.
We run a very hybrid system. Sun, Microsoft and Novell just to mention a few. We currently use Zen for Desktops 4.01 to manange our Windows 2000 desktops.
Ok so here is a bit of a background info. We want to use Zen's Windows group policies; they work fine when used as standalone, but once connected to a NT domain the group policies aren't applied due to a conflict with active directory domain policy.
The problem is that the workstations obtain DNS e.g 10.0.0.1 and 10.0.0.2, but it's from a Unix server and does not support AD references. For the Zen policies to apply it needs the DNS of the active directory e.g 10.0.0.51. It's not an option to modify DHCP to give out the AD DNS, so I was wondering if there was another way; perhaps by editing the host file.
Any help would be a life saver,
Regards,
Johan
