Zen 6.5

Anyone having issues imaging the Dell Optiplex 745? I can not get the 745 to PXE boot with 6.5 Zen. So I am having troubles imaging the new Dell 745. Any help or insight would be greatly appreciated.

What service pack level are you at?

FYI, Zen6.5 is no longer in general support, it is currently in extended support. Basically this means, if the updates do not contain the updated driver for your system, then it is up to you to locate either a community update (see the Novell Source Forge) or find the NIC driver source code and compile it your self.


If you need to compile the drive your self, be sure you do it on a system that matches the Linux kernel used by ZfD Imaging. This TID should point you in the right direction;

Last I check, the 6.5 Image engine uses SLES 9 SP2 with no updates installed. Just build up a simple SLES9 server (pretty sure you can still download it). Use the command "uname -a" to check the kernel version on a Linux system.
