Hi chaps, I need a bit of advice. We have 2 Zebra Z4M printers in our warehouse. they print tags 3''*3'' with barcodes and text
1 printer is connected to a PC via a parallel cable and is reasonably fast, the other is an identical printer, connected via a 10mbps RJ45 cable into a zebra print server, and this printer is very slow compared to the other one. It pauses between tags and just generally takes it's time. Does anyone have any ideas? I'm thinking i need to try this printer with a parallel connection, but surely the 10mbps connection is more than adequate?
The only thing I can think of is that the PC with the parallel connection is handling the truetype fonts better than the processor in the print server on the other machine?
