Our application sends a product label for every carton we make. When the printer is turned on the labels generate quick enough, but over time it gets slower and slower, as if something is getting clogged in the memory...if I cycle the power it is fine again...has this happened to anyone else? I am just sending standard ZPL code that was originally created by TL Ashford.

no, but i believe there is some garbage collection that should happen when the zpl code is sent to the printer.

Are there any images in the ZPL? Can you show us the ZPL? I use ZPL all the time sending to a local printer or to a printer server and I don't recall ever having this issue
