Hi everyone:

I have a Zebra 170XiIII Thermal, Barcode printer and I have a question regarding Barcode fonts.

Whenever I create a label in Labelview (Windows) and send as a file to my Unix Computer the fonts that I am trying to print (from Unix in ZPL programming language) do not come out. The fonts that the computer is using seem to be comming from the resident fonts on the printer itself. The text comes out fine, just in the wrong font.

I am trying to send the font "Arial Bold" to the printer and have it print out permanently in this font everytime I print my Label, but I can't figure out how to do this. Can anyone help? Does anyone know the ZPL command to send this font to the printer (or have it be a permanent resident font)?

Thanks in advance

Why are you trying to use TTF, it will take an age to download to the printer.

You should be using the internal font 'CG Triumvirate Bold Condensed (Internal)' from your font list if you have listed.n If not try installing the Zebra print driver this may add the internal fonts for you.

This internal font is actually Arial Bold under a different name.

Have you tried using the Zebra Bar-one lite program to create your label template? just select a generic text printer and in your printer settings select text file from the port settings, this will output the ZPL into a text file for you to import into UNIX.

Or I could e-mail you the ZPL manual in PDF format to manualy edit the ZPL lines
