ZCM Reboots workstation with minimal warning

With ZCM agents on workstations (WinXP), and literally NO policies configured on the backend (unless they were enabled/configured by default), we are seeing some very frustrating behavior with some kind of update/reboot policy.

Basically the user can be working along, with numerous apps or documents open, and a window will pop up saying that an Update is requiring a reboot. Within 10 seconds, the system shuts down and reboots, and it's impossible to get everything saved or closed before this happens. It has no regard for anything the user was doing at the time.

Has anyone seen this, do you know what component is causing this, and how can we change this as to not force a hard shutdown like this?

Thanks.

Marvin

I haven't seen this, but it sure SMELLS like Patchlink.

If you choose to have an application object force a reboot on a user when an app has been deployed, it doesn't bother telling the user it's going to reboot, it just does it.

So check your Patchlink config, sounds like someone set a default policy.
