ZA not running any more... 2

Been using ZoneAlarm for years now, and always ran it on start-up. It stopped about 2 days ago for no reason. It won't load on start-up, nor will it run when I double-click the program (the splash-screen pops up briefly and then disappears). I've uninstalled, re-installed and still nothing. No little friendly ZA icon appears in my tray, and it's definitely not running. Anyone else know of this problem, or is my PC finally asking to be put out it's misery. Running Windows ME on a Pentium III.

Run an updated virus scan. Some new viruses disable Zone Alarm. You may have to do this off of a web site.

Maybe scanreg(space)/restore will give you registry from a a happier time. Run it from a DOS prompt. (Start/Shutdown) gives you the option to boot to DOS.

Yep, virus it was. W32/yaha.k infected the pc. McAfee online virus scan found the problem in a matter of seconds, whereas Norton online scan took about 30 mins and found no infected files......
Reckon I'll switch to McAfee...
