Hello again,

In earlier versions of RH 8-9 I used yum to update the packages. I noticed yum does not have a Redhat ES 3 option.

Can I use the FC3-4 - what can you recommend?

Thanks,

Michael42

go here for the yum downloads for FC3, 4 and RHEL4 and compatibles, it should work afaik, but if in doubt make a post to the mailing list for known issues or other dependencies *after* checking the FAQ.

I haven't bothered, as I run FC4, and don't use it on my RHES Servers.

I don't use it on RHEL servers, but it does come with CentOS 3 and 4, and other RHEL clones, I think.

RHEL4's up2date supports yum repositories, I'm not sure about RHEL3.
