Hi,
Currently on my machine which has windows xp pro, .net framework 1.1, sql server 2000, can I install the new sql server (Yukon) which is in the bata version?
Can it run in oparallel to sql server 2000?
Thanks

I don't know if the Beta will work on XP Pro, but I do know that it's not available to the general public. I believe you have to be a member of MSDN to test the software. Along with that, you may have to agree to not put it on a production system (but I'm not sure about that part).

You are able to download the SQL Server 2005 Express Edition from this link ...

You are premitted to run it on XP ... here is the link to the Hardware/Software requirements ...

There are folks I have talked w/ at PASS that are already running the full beta 2 in PRODUCTION! As SQLBill stated, the full Beta2 can only be accessed via an MSDN subscription or by aquiring the install CD that was given to all at the PASS conference and other conferences to come.

Thanks
