ypupdate failing on group file

Has anyone ever had a problem with ypupdate failing on the update of the /etc/group file. It informs me that the one of the groups I am trying to update is too long. The group it has problems on is rather long for a single line but I am sure others have had this problem also. The group is a little over 1300 characters. Does someone know of a limit on yppush that would cause this to fail when it tries to update that group? Or does anyone know of a way I can break this large line into a continued line inside the group file?
