Hi,

I have a scenario running YA. I have all of the YA set up as BLF's on the 5550 IP console. However I am not able to see when a YA client is not logged in. Should it show on the BLF's?

It basically causes the operator to put calls through to YA softphone extensions and the YA user might not even be logged on. I would have thouht it would be the same for normal deskphones aswell as YA client devices.

Thanks in advance,

E

Good question. I never noticed it before but I've tested it as soon as I read your question. And you're right. It doesn't show on the 5550-console!

Apparently the status of a YA-client is only shown within the YA-server environment (you can see in the YA if somebody is away or not etc.), and is not communicated to the controller.

One of my collegues mentioned that the 5550-console should have a direct communication link to the YA-server for this purpose. Looks like Mitel has some work to do here!

Some basic knowledge of Siemens Hicom, Avaya Definity and Mitel 3300 ICP.....

Thanks appreciate the reply. Hope this can be resolved soon....

Hi I have had the same problem with not only YA softphones but also hardphones logging in/out (showing status on BLF) - Mitel said it was to be coming out in a previous software release but never happened?

I have personally put forward a DCR (Design Change Request) to Mitel - this was around 5 - 6 months ago, 2 weeks ago i got a reply to say they were looking into my DCR..!!

So who knows, If other people can put DCR's for this it will put more pressure on the devolopement team..??

Thanks for the reply. I actually can't imagine why they wouldn't have done this in the first place.

Regards,
Eugene
