Hi all of you ,this my first post i hope not my last anyway here we go.
I have a sx200 and a 3300 mitel hardware in the LAN i admin ,on my sx200 i manage my users phones (5207) and 6 trunks ;on my 3300 i handle teleworkers users and softphone users(YA 2.1.0.20).
The problem is that my softphone users are not working since 2 months ago.Got 6 license for softphone 5 of them r in use ,of these 5 only 1 is working up to date the other 4 are having some stranges problmes like this :they just can use his softphone for one day after they reinstall it ,so they come next day and have to reinstall to get work it again if they r luky cause sometimes didnt reach to do this.
they systems are WINXP all with SP2.
I had try everything ,remove VPNs soft and antivirus programs ,firewalls etc and the same problem persist
The machine that its working is win 2000 pro SP4
My question are :
Is any free update to this soft ?
is any part on the web to review a list of soft that can make conflict with the YA?
Theres any part on the web to download the new verison of the YA(3.1) for FREE? or mitel Sell IT?

I hope this info wil be enough to give u a rigth idea of the escenario.

Tanx a lot

I think your issues is a VPN issue. Just because you have VPN'd into the office, it does not mean that YA will work.

When a VPN user loggs into the network, they need to go into the control panel, open up the MITEL IP Phone Emulation application and ensure there is a GREEN box and it is not red.

If it is red, the YA softphone *may* have call control, but it may not have voice. What is box status of your VPN'd users?

mmmmmm maybe i missunderstood the situation ,my users are in the same lan segment they are'nt vpn users only 1 ip phone are in a remote point ,thats the one it use teleworker server or mas6000 server maybe im confusing that ones, sorry if im wrong
My user boxes are red at start up , and then they turn it on red manually .ill check it out again with them to be more specific with the error ......is any log file for the YA ? tanx

jejeejeje sorry im not so good on english grammar

I'm not sure I understand the issue?

If you have a red box, you have no voice, and maybe not call-control.

Log file: c:\documents and settings\[user id]\local settings\application data\newheights\YA3\yac.log

If you are runing Rls 2, it's going to be in \YA2\yac.log

Tanx Mitelguy for replay ,ill review my log and post it maybe it could make clear the issue.

YA 2.xxx pro client on users' (XP) laptops requires (Each Use) to go into the control panel (I made shortcuts to the desktop)

1) Phone & Modem Options
Click on Advanced, then highlight Mitel PBX TAPI Service Provider, then click configure; Make sure it's grabbed the right IP address. On some VPN clients this is sometimes problematic.

2) IP Phone Emulation
Make sure it has selected the correct IP address, make sure it has the correct address of the RTC controller and down in the IP Phone settings block make sure the softphone extn number is right and the little box beside it is GREEN, not red. If it is red, then click the bar "Stop Phone Emulation Service" ONCE then wait for it to change and say "Start Phone Emulation Service". Now click it once more and the little box should turn green

3) Now you're ready to execute your YA Pro client software.

By the way, it's been my experience in travelling around the countryside that YA Pro 2.x rarely works from most hotels.
I believe the reason is that it's common for Hotel ISPs to block some of the ports YA needs.
That's interesting too because in those locations where YA Pro does not work, the teleworker phone usually will work.

Tanx a lot to all for your help ive call my HD provider and ill review the issue , i think that my problem are in my lan ...see u an tanx again
