I have installed Fedora Core 2 on an old Dell Pentium. It has been running for the past few days. When I got home it was giving me a repeated EXT3 FS error. I tried rebooting and it said there was no boot partition on /dev/hda2 - there was this morning... The error message also said that there was an error on logical block 0. I tried the rescue disk and it gave the error message that I have no linux partions defined. Do you think this might be a bad drive?

Drive is probably toast. Try another cable first.
I've also seen these types of errors when the mobo is bad.
If you are really curious reattach the drive to your
secondary ide channel, boot from CD, and try to mount the
drive again.

We can close out this thread. It was the hard drive. Thanks for the responses.
