Sometimes this message is misleading and it should read:

"You can not leave the current record at the moment!"

So have a close look at the current record, especially the underlying procedures (input formats, lookup-tables...).

Here we are a year and a half after you posted this, and you managed to help me figure out the problem I'm having. I got this error message because I was trying to exit a record, and some data fields that are Required had not been filled in.
