Since we launched our redesign I have been keeping track of our slow climb up the ladder of SEs. What I am seeing is our listing being "good" and even "great" and then not existing at all. It's been a real yo-yo ride.
e.g. - for one of our keyword phrases(Google):
page 4
page 4
page 4
page 2
page 4
why am I not finding it?
page 4
why am I not finding it?

and another(MSN):
page 7
page 7
page 7
page 5
page 5
page 4
why am I not finding it?
page 7

its like this for most of our keyword phrases for Google,Yahoo and MSN

What can be the reasoning for this?

Thanks you guys.... that makes me feel better

Foamcow,

got a result of 9,925.

Just out of curiosity, how do you know that the result was 9,925? Surely, you didn't scroll down through 993 pages until you found it?

Does Google have a way of numbering its results? Or am I missing something obvious?

Mike
