I'm sure this is a common problem but I can't find a solution.

I have a database with yes/no declared in the base table(s) which displayed as a check box. If I drop the field and add a new one the display is check box. However the ones that were there from last year have changed into -1 and 0. This stops me from clicking on the field (in table or query display) to change it.

I can't see any options on how the value is displayed. Do you know if and how I can change the default display back to check box?

The only thing I am aware has happenned to this database is that it has been copied and renamed.

BNP,
Look in design view, on the lower section where you put in the validation rules, etc. There will be a Lookup Tab, with 'Display control' option.

Thanks Jim.

I looked around and saw Lookup and thought well I'm not using any lookup so I can ignore that. Fatal mistake to make - applying logic in the world of Microsoft.

Now where's my dunce's hat....
