Yes/No field causing System error

I added a Yes/No field to my database. I added a checkbox to my application with an association to the field. I run my application. I run a built in query from the app, "system error". I remove the association from the checkbox. I rerun the app. I run the query again, No errors.
Is it VB or is it Access?
