Does anyone have a contact for Yellow Jacket Cable Protection? My campus is hosting the Presidential Debate in September and we will need to run copper and fiber across several 4-lane roads.

Thanks!
Gary

Looking at this
it looks like this is a flush mount installation. Why not just directional bore, pull back a 4" and be done?

The wireless telegraph is not difficult to understand. The ordinary telegraph is like a very long cat. You pull the tail in New York, and it meows in Los Angeles. The wireless is the same, only without the cat.

Thanks I'll take a look. We have completed a few bores but we need Y.J. to tie the 40 to 50 TV production trucks to their cameras and other associated devices.

Looking again at the price of that stuff (around $100.00 per foot) your best bet will be having it bored and not have to worry about someone/thing cutting them. Add handhold boxes and you will also have another pathway for later too. I think boring for 4" (or pull two) is around $18.00 per foot for one 4". Double that or say $40.00 per foot adding PE pipe. Thats a pathway that will be their for life and can easily be reused.

For the event G3rtech is preparing for yellow jacket is the tried and true method. The trucks will arrive a different times and cables will be added and subtracted all day long. Some cables may even have connectors in the road section.

Most sat truck operators I know would have a instant meltdown when faced with sharing a 4" conduit in this situation.

The 5 channel is quite reasonable and very useful for other applications but may be too small for a full blown clusterf_ck. The 3 channel may be a better choice.

Traffic speeds will need to be restricted on the roads since hitting a 2 or 3 inch bump can cause vehicular directional instability or a wreck...

I found these sites for you if this is truly the best thing for what you are trying to do. I also called my Accu-Tech rep and he is looking into this for you. I will post for you if he can get it.
