Yamaha external cdwriter

I don't know if this is the right forum to ask this, but here goes....

I have a yamaha external cdwriter, and just recently I've been getting lots of errors when burning cds. The error is:

CRW3200S
current program area empty
CRW3200S
Could not perform fixation

I'm using Nero 5.5.5.5.1 (Yamaha)

Could not perform fixation basically means could not finalise the CD.
Have you changed media recently? Are you writing at the correct speeds for your media?
