Hi All,

I'm going to build a website. What's your opinion on Yahoo's web hosting? Or, are there better options? I'd like it to be good, reliable and inexpensive.

Any thoughts? Thanks for you help in advance!!

Thanks you!

I think Yahoo offer a good "personal homepage for free" service. I would probably look elsewhere to host a paid client, however. You get what you pay for.

Good, Reliable and inexpensive? I guess that depends how you define inexpensive. If you pay too little you get next to no guarantee they will be there in 12 weeks time (let alone 12 months time). You may also end up with a service that degrades as more and more people start to abuse it (because it's over-cheap). Not to mention the support that is often too thin on the ground for these cheap vendors.

The guys over at Freshlook Hosting ( have a service that I reckon meets those requirements. They are UK-based and have a good, reliable service and includes good support. I have been using them for several years and I recommend them to clients as well as friends.

is good, too. You can manage everything online, and they have some cool "gadgets" like a statistics and reporting package that puts visitor info in pretty little charts and graphs.

Hope This Helps!

Great thanks!

I guess I could take out the inexpensive part, because I think most of them are reasonably priced. I am building it for a friends company so my biggest concern is that it's reliable and will be around 1 year from now. I will check out
Thank you!

I also use and would recommend FreshLook. They have been helpful with any questions I have had. I currently have 6 sites hosted with them

Thanks for the suggestions!

This will be my first website. Is Freshlook user/beginner friendly? Does it have have sitebuilder or frontpage?

Thanks!

You could always go onto their site and read what they have to say
