Please Help!!!!......I'm having a problem that may be a spyware/worm problem. When I type in "pr" in my web browser address box, the following pops up: "profiles.yahoo.com/prettysuntannedgirl" This happens even after going to internet options, and deleting files, deleting cookies, and clearing history. How can I get rid of this?? This is my HijackThis Log:

First, try: Tools > Internet options > Content tab >Autocomplete > uncheck everything under "Use Autocomplete for:" > click "clear forms" and then "clear passwords".

If no joy, then: Start regedit (Start > Run > regedit > Ok and mavigate to this key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\TypedURLs

You can delete typed URLs from here.

Tired of waiting for an answer? Try asking better questions. See: faq222-2244

Try clearing your 'History' in 'Internet Options'. The History folder contains links to pages you've recently visited, for quick access to recently viewed pages.

Suggest that you run Adaware for a second opinion on easily removed spyware. The 'sep' entries should be identified by that product.

Clear all files in the TEMP folder.

Fix, if still present, the following entries using HJT (Turn off your system restore if the fixes don't stick):

O2 - BHO: (no name) - {C5183ABC-EB6E-4E05-B8C9-500A16B6CF94} - C:\Program Files\SEP\sep.dll

O3 - Toolbar: Band Class - {C5183ABC-EB6E-4E05-B8C9-500A16B6CF94} - C:\Program Files\SEP\sep.dll

Delete the SEP folder also.

My shop has been dealing with issues like the one you described above for quite some time- it's an ongoing battle. However, we've found another good spyware removal program for this called Bullet Proof. You can find it at There's only one thing you have to watch out for: you can download this software as a free trial, but it's invalid after 25 uses unless you purchase a license.
Hope this helps.
