I have windows xp pro sp2 with IE sp1. Anytime I try to attach a file to my yahoo account through the web I keep getting an error message saying Invalid file type specified, i've tried several different file's, .doc, .jpg, .xls, and they are all below the size limit. when I use firefox, it works fine, but the person doesn't want to use firefox, any help greatly appreciated, also i already reinstalled IE.

Thanks

What are the names (just an example or two) of the files? Is the message coming from Yahoo or IE? I am not sure whether there is anything here to fix your problem but it may give you some things to think about and try. Are you able to zip a file and attach it that way?
