I have used Yahoo e-mail, same account, for 3 years, and am experiencing a rather odd problem. Usually when I try to bring up my mail (after the password has been entered)I get the white page of death stating that the page cannot be displayed. Every now and then the mail comes up. This also happens when I try it from a different computer. I set up another account with Yahoo and have no problem accessing that from my computer. This is very frustrating for me as well as inconvenient because most of my e-mail addresses, etc. are on Yahoo. Cannot find any way to contact support at Yahoo...only automated responses. Has anyone else had this problem or any suggestions, etc.

As you're probably aware, Yahoo is not in good financial shape right now. Probably why you couldn't get anyone. I have 2 yahoo email accounts myself and my experience is that altho I sometimes get the white page more likely I get to enter the password again. Usually it works the second time. I do have an email program which accesses the site as a pop3 server and pulls the mail off that way. I have no idea if this works correctly all the time as I don't keep a log of the pop3 accesses. Not a great solution, but you might try it that way.

Another idea is use Mail Start: which allows you 1 free try per week

or

Mail2Web:
for which you need to supply the mailserver, if you can.

The pop3 server for Yahoo I have is "pop.mail.yahoo.com"

I've tried them all, I have 2 hotmail, 2 yahoo, 1 excite, 2 lycos, 1 mailandnews, 1 freepost, 1 Softhome, etc. The only one that has never given me any grief is Softhome (
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your suggestions, and was glad to hear of someone who has more e-mail accounts than me! I set up my excite account to check on the someimes working Yahoo account and was thankful for the pop address that you gave. Might even give softhome a try.

Sorry I gave you the wrong url for Mail Start... Here it is.

Another approach is to use a forwarding service. I tell people that my email address is xxxxx@Bigfoot.Com and then you tell Bigfoot to forward your mail to your normal address. The benefit here is that when you have a problem with an account and you are not getting your mail, you just login to Bigfoot and change it to another address.
I've been a Bigfoot user for several years and it is a big time saver, as I have changed ISP's and email accounts a dozen times in the last 2 years.

Thanks Mark...I am adding Bigfoot as one of the solutions to my problem. An update to this problem...I changed my Yahoo address to another and that seemed to work for about a week, but now I am having the same problem with that one, and the original one is working fine! Can't figure that one. I do appreciate everyone's help because it eased my frustration a lot. Now I am really in to forwarding!!
