We are starting to upgrade to UC and I have had a play around with it and it seems quite good. Does anyone know if it is possible for it to call other IP based video conferencing units i.e. polycom?? Does it need to go through the 3300 and teleworker?? I'm trying to achieve a cheaper way of getting a video conferencing unit in a meeting room, instead of buying a £1500 HD polycom unit!

Cheers

Hi Tom,
UC advanced with the collaboration option is generally used for people with personal webcams on pcs/laptops to join in web conferences set up by a UC advanced user.
It is not currently possible for it to dial a phone number.
Teleworker is not required.
It does not "go through" the 3300 as it is a server unto itself.
Some people put a pc with a widescreen or projector into the boardroom to use this app.
The advantage of UC advanced is that people no longer need to assemble in any one place to be part of the collab session.
