YA Dial from 3rd party / No license error

gotta love sales people bringing this to out attention. Is dialing from 3rd party a licensable option. When I log onto the admin console I dont see it a licensed or unlicensed feature. anyone else had this issue. It seemed like this worked prior to the 5.0 upgrade also.

I am assuming the 3rd party to be Outlook or some such?

I suspect this is related to the fact that Mitel is retiring the TAPI drivers they have traditionally used for this purpose. I don't have many details but I went looking for the drivers recently and couldn't find them on Mitel's website. I was told by my TAM that they are moving away from TAPI.

with ya yes you can dial from outlook no problem. It's not a licenced feature.

In YA 5 there's even an API toolkit for customers to build there own integration. What specifically do you want to dial from

as for kwbmitel's comments, it's all built into mitai now

in the whats new section, it mentions you can now dial from internet explorer (probably should have mentioned this 1st)...if you look at IE, properly formatted telephone numbers are now highlighted so you can click on it once, and then YA dials it.

yes that's correct, that is a licenced feature. It comms with YA Premium

Ok I found out what was wrong. After the upgrade I guess the server did not resync with the AMC. after I resynced with the AMC, I all of a sudden found 2 more licensable features.
