Interesting discovery, wonder if anyone else has seen this.

3300 Rls 8.08, non-resilient
YA 3.09 (free client)
4 different sets each having a multicall RING appearance of set number 1.

If any of the companion sets (where the key app is not prime) go down, YA Client for Set 1 goes down too. (Goes into offline mode actually) The set where the multicall is prime stays up.

Example,
DN 5000 is prime on a 5140 appliance
and is a multicall/ring appearance on
DN 5001 (a 5330),
DN 5002 (a 5224) and
DN 5003 (a 5235).
YA client is running & registered to DN 5000

If either sets 5001, 5002 or 5003 crash (loss of connectivity) the functionality of the YA client for DN 5000 is lost and a screen popup announces this fact even though DN 5000 is still up on his prime instrument.

Anyone else?

How can you have two extensions (YA & 5140) programmed/registered as the same DN??

MIMB,
Seen any other major issues with 8.0UR2? I haven't had a chance to put it through it's paces in my lab yet.

I wasn't thinking back that far... YA is both.

YA Vista coming to a VAR near you.

This "issue" predates Rls 8. Goes back as far as rls 6 as far as I know. Juist curious if it's occurring in any other versions of YA

The issue I encountered of a similar sort was that when the user used the YA Client to answer the Multiline call, the phone that went off hook was not necessarily the one that pressed the button. The YA client that pressed the button was then considered in use and if that user tried to disconnect the caller was disconnected on the other phone.

Mitel indicated at the time that Multicalls were not supported. I have never tried again.

Occam's Razor - All things being equal, the simplest solution is the right one.

Multicalls are supported if using a newer version of YA (server based YA).
