hello to all,

i've setup/configure YA 4.something to work through straight to Teleworker before without any VPN (PPTP) connections.

I'm busy setting up YA 5 now and like I usually do when a new version of software is available, I've read the documentation. in the documentation it clearly states the YA softphone Teleworker is only supported when you have a VPN connection with the MAS. Softphone is not supported directly to the Teleworker server.

anyone have any experience with this?

eh no that's not the case.

It's teleworker OR VPN.

Got a Softphone working on R5 through Teleworker

Same here using YA client as a teleworker in release 4.5 of TW and 5 of YA.

ok thought as much. however the statement in the document is ambigious then.

thanks for the feedback

Funnily enough just been and done one this morning! No problems whatsoever

But yeah had another look at the doc's and does look at bit bizarre!

Hi, I was wondering if someone could give me some advise.
I am wanting to know the hardware requirments for running a Mitel 3300 CX with a Teleworker Solution and also Your Assistant Premium.
I have been told that YA needs it own server running windows 2003.
The Teleworker Solution
is a complete customised Linux-based operating system and application.
I am wanting to set up a new basic server to handle these requirments.
My Question is:Can I install YA on the new server running windows server 2003 and run a virtual session of linux on the same server to look after the tele worker.

Can anyone let me know if they have set this up before and if there is anything to be carefull of if set up this way.

The new dedicated server will be a IBM System x3250 M2

Look forward to hearing from all the experts.

In theory yes but Mitel linux is NOT supportred on VM Ware

Also, depending on your set up, you may have the teleworker in the DMZ and the YA server on normal lan.

So in short, to get the set up running:

One controller (any variant)

1 X Server with Mitel Linux and teleworker blade

1 X Server with Windows 2003 and YA Premium

These servers don;t need to be high speced to be honest so in-expensive

Thanks for your reply, another question I should of asked was; has anyone experience with integrating the 3300CX with a CRM package?

Thanks

hello newuser09. I suggest asking your last question using a different thread. you'll probably get more responses this way as the heading to this relates to teleworker and ya.

someone with possible input to your question may not look at it cause it's under a teleworker heading if you like ;)
