Gurus,

SunOS 5.8 running on pentium system. I would like to login my solaris through graphical interface. Any tips how to get graphic screen on my PC.

Have you just installed it? Normally it should work out-of-the-box, however your video card may not be supported. If so, you will have to try and find a driver for it. Annihilannic.

I was installed long time back with Graphic CDE and working fine. But i would like to login my Solaris box from my client PC, which the same CDE login screen.

You need to install a Windows compatible X server on your client PC. Something like Starnet X-Win32, Cygwin, Hummingbird Exceed, XWinPro, ... Annihilannic.

what you are explaining is emulators, I am looking for graphical login screen (default sun login screen), which will be used to login on solaris from system console.

No, they are X server software for Windows.

For example, I use X-Win32. I load it, choose an XDMCP session to my Solaris workstation and it displays the graphical Solaris login screen.

Another options is VNC, which uses a different and probably more efficient protocol. Annihilannic.
