XWindows Dual Processor Questions.

I was thinking about running a dual processor XDMCP server and was wondering if the Dual Processor environment is really worth it. It would be an AMD MP 1800 system. I it boils down to: Does Xfree86 take advantage of SMP? Or is it a question of compiling it from source? If I compile something from source, will the compiler automatically optimize for dual processors?

What about running MOSIX on top of an XDMCP server with the client? Will MOSIX drop unnecessary processes to the "client"?

Any answers would help, I can't find much about dual processor machines with Xwindows.
