So SCN supports up to 15/16 sites , what happens when you connect the next one into the mix.
 
It'll probably, very probably, work just fine.

Also SCN is only supported for up to a total of 500 extensions, but for the 501st it will probably, very probably work just fine.

When Avaya mean is that's the limit to which its been tested and therefore the limit that will support - its not an actual absolute technical limit in the software.

Similarly SCN is only officially supported in a star configuration (ie. with a central IP Office at the hub) but in many case non-star configurations will work fine but with increasing difficulty to configure/fault find/diagnose (hence I suspect Avaya's aversion to supporting 16 systems in a non-star configuration).
