In the past I have been able to download the config xml file from a phone, edit the parameters, change the filename and upload it to the UCX tftpboot folder. I then would configure in the phone for the UCX to be the cfg server in which the UCX would download this xml file and take on the parameters. I have not been able to get this to work with an XSTIM 5008. The documents say to use name cfg0202.xml for the file and I point the phone to use the UCX IP address but the phone never downloads the config and just uses the phones default. Has anybody gotten this to work? Thanks.

If I am not mistaken, the configuration file cfg0202.xml is a common file for all 5008 phones. So, only configuration items that you want to use on all phones can be in that file. For specific phones, you need a phone specific configuration file. The file name should be cfg[mac-address].xml (all lowercase and no colons). So for example if the MAC address of your phone is d4:25:cc:12:34:56, the file name should be cfgd425cc123456.xml

Thank you ucxguy. I am looking to use cfg0202 for all 5008 phones but the phones don't seem to want to pull that config file. I can get them to work with other model phones using a different name convention but the 5008's don't want to play nice. Didn't know if I was naming the xml file wrong.
