Just curious if anyone out there has done this and what there experience was. We have a Clariion CX3-20 and are thinking of pluging it into our SAN fabric and using SAN storage.

Neither Apple or EMC seem to be willing to say if it will or won't work. We plan on using the standard Apple HBAs.

Thoughts anyone?

I started down this route but because no-one would say yes or no I backed out.

In theory you get your OSX to use NFS to mount the Clariion LUN then the punters connect in the normal manner to the Apple box and over to the Clariion or directly over the iSCSI depending on your architecture / preference / client.

Until things are a lot further down the line I'm just throwing RAID arrays at the problem. Old fashioned maybe, but I know I won't have a $30k door stop.
