I'm working on a recently acquired IBM xSeries 150 server (model 8658-33Y) for one of my college classes. I found out that what I thought was just a standard SCSI host adapter is actually an integrated ServeRAID 4L controller. However, I can't figure out how to setup the RAID array. There is no option to do so via the SCSI BIOS. I think the solution is the included ServerGuide 6.0.2 CD-ROM disc (P/N 24P1936), but the disc is not bootable. IBM's website is worthless as far as useful information goes, so I was hoping somebody here could tell me how to access the RAID configuration so I can setup a RAID 5 array. Thanks.

Your going to have to download the serveraid 6.10 cd from IBM. Burn it and you will be able to boot from it and set up your raid. While your at it you can get the updatexpress cd and update all your bios and firmware in that machine.

Okay, but I've been running around in circles on IBM's website without finding any clear download links. Any direct links to download pages would be much appreciated.

Ah, thanks. Unfortunately, I found out later that the RAID card was actually an expansion card that's been pulled, because the ServeRAID boot CD can't find any ServeRAID controllers in the system. So now I'm gonna have to buy one off eBay or something. Thanks anyway.
