XPress v.6.5 error (-50) under OSX 10.4.8 on new MacBook

This version was problem free running under all previous OS's for us and now on our new MacBooks running most current OSX version (10.4. 8) we can't save. We get either an "unknown error [-50] or "can not find required volume or folder [-35]".


OUCH!


Scouring the web: Quark, Apple and all design sites but not finding any clue. Can't affort upgrade to Xpress v.7

What to do?
