XP WON"T START

HI Again...

I know I have that other post but I have another question for a friend of mine... he has an old cpu that had just had XP installed but now it won't boot.... but a red light is lit on the motherboard... and the cpu keeps beeping...

Any thoughts..?

Boot with a dos disk and see if you can get to a prompt. If not check your hardware.
