I offer the following posts all similar to my problem which is that the internal IDE Iomega Zip drive does not permit more then 4M to be copied to them.

The posts below are specific and mention same with
tidbits indicating only the cache size can be copied out
and latest XP drivers off IOMEGA do not fix.

I have an employee leaving who needs to back up his
docs to zip. 4M at a time is a real pain.

Ideas?

I have a Zip100 drive, 42MB on the disk, 53MB free, just copied a 12.5MB file to it with no problems using the SendTo option. But it is an IDE internal drive.

Zip disks have a limit as to the amount of storage in the root directory. Set up one directory on your Zip disk, call it "stuff" or "junk" or "anything" and copy all of your data to this directory. I found this out a long time ago, the hard way, trial and error.
