Hello
I'm not looking for any answers here, just opinions.
I've been testing Presentation Server 4 (and 3 for a while) for about four months now. I was excited about it first because of all the new bells and whistles and how much faster and efficient it's supposed to be.
Well, after four months, I think I've decided to stay with Metaframe XP. Not only is Presenation Server 4 a much larger and complex program, but we lost a number of features that we rely on daily. For example, the simple task in Metaframe XP of placing shortcuts on the desktop. Something so simple then, is now a major hassle in Server 4. I like the licensing portion of Server 4, but again, it's just another application/service somewhere to worry about.
Just wondering if anyone else has tested Server 4 and decided against it, or decided to migrate to it.
Just so you know, our envo consists of Windows 2k3 boxes and ALL of our clients are dumb terminals (WyseTerms)
