XP VPN Client to a Linksys RV082 Router

I want to connect the following -

Microsoft XP VPN Client which has a dynamic IP number to a Linksys RV082 VPN Router which has a static IP.

Is this possible, I have tried various combinations, none of which work.

Anyone got any suggestions, I do't really want to use a third party VPN Client.
