XP User Name - Can't change it!

Been running Samba quite happliy for a couple of years.

The Win2K & NT clinet machines have never had a problem connecting to user directories on Samba.

However with XP Pro I try to connect to a user directory on Samba the XP login dialogue box offers a set user name of 'guest' which is grayed out i.e. I cannot change it to my own user name. The password box is editable.

As a result I can't enter my full login details...

Any ideas?
