Hi all,

My IT Manager has upgraded some of our machines to Access XP from 2000. This has caused the XP machines to show the database window via a taskbar button which appears on startup.

I've checked that the box to allow this in the startup properties dialog is set to 'no'.

BTW, some of the machines on which my db is used will be remaining on 2000 so a dual version solution is needed.

Any suggestions? Robbo ;-)

I have complete several corporate upgrades on the level over over 500 pc's in this manner.

As to the first part I have no answer as it stilled work for me.

As to the dual install this is NOT needed as Access 2000 and XP are fully compaitble.
The default backend for 2002 is 2000
You would have to manually convert to the the new 2002 backend to stop the 2000 users from accessing it.
Thanks,
John McKenney
