I'm trying to download the xp upgrade advisor from theh Microsoft site and page to begin the download won't load at all. Anyone experienced this before??? I've been trying to do this for a number of days now with no success. I've disabled firewalls and lowered the security settings in IE to try and overcome it but no luck, Any ideas????

I just tried and it came right up.

Are you on a DSL connection, or do you have a HOSTS file entry for Microsoft.com, or is Microsoft.com a restricted site in your IE settings?

I've no problem getting to other ms sites. It's satellite broadband connection so there are some latency issues. maybe its just timeing out before it establishes the connection

You can find the original version of this utility on the XP CD. It runs when you select the last option on the main screen of the CD to check the system compatability, and then select "Check my system automatically."
