We installed an app from a remote .msi package and the application runs fine. On win nt and 2000 if we want to test other versions of the app we save off the app folder and copy in a new app folder and this works fine. On xp, xp determines that the app has changed and tries to reinstall the application from the remote .msi packages. Is there a registry setting to turns off this function. Thanks for any ideas
