I was looking for a solution to this problem on the usenet and saw many other people with it, but no solutions.
Using WIndows XP Professional, I have a client that has set up an FTP Daemon. The type of Daemon does not matter because several have been tried and they are all giving the same result: SLOW UPLOADS
HTTP uploads are much faster, even when sending to the same site. So ISP service does not seem to be the issue. The customer has manipulated the settings in the FTP nine ways to Sunday to try and make it go faster without any success.
A couple of posts I read led me to believe it was an XP issue as some people have tried comparisons on 98 and uploaded via FTP much faster there than on XP.
Anyone familiar with this issue that can give me some clue as to what to do next? I have already tried to talk him into Linux.
