We have some XPPro workstations and XPPro Service Pack 1 workstations on a fairly simple one-domain network with NT & W2k servers [NON ACTIVE DIRECTORY]
When trying to install network printers [shared on a W2k server], on the XPSP1 workstations I always get an error "A policy is in effect on your computer that prevents you from connecting to this print queue". UNLESS I install the printer FIRST logged in as administrator. Then I can install the printer logged in as a regular user.
This is NOT an issue with XPPro without SP1.
Any clues?
