XP SP 2 Print Baloons 1

Okay ever since I updated all my client machines to SP2 my users are getting the Print Balon letting them know that they have sent their job to a network printer. I also know that I can turn this off under the server properties of the print window on the client machines.

Is there anyway to stop this through a GPO?

Not without writing an addition to the .ADM.

Open notepad and copy/paste the below as no_baloons.reg :

****** start copy/paste below this line
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Printers\Settings]
"EnableBalloonNotificationsRemote"=dword:00000000

****** end copy/paste above this line

Add to the logon script:

regedit /s no_baloons.reg
