XP Service Pak 2 Messes up Servlet

I have a servlet that passes a parameter to a backend process to generate an .xls file. Before SP2 you would get prompted to open or save the file. Now it automatically opens in IE!!! I really don't want this to happen! Anyone have any ideas?

Oh, if you chose open then it would open in excel... not IE... very very annoying... This has to be preventable...
