What would be the easiest way to retrieve data from various cells in an Excel spreadsheet? Especially when the Excel spreadsheet name could change.

Hi,

It the name chages, you'll have to know what name it changed to.

Is it the kind of name that has a "date" appended?

Well, here is the scenerio:

An Excel spreadsheet stores various data. Once all the data is collected it is placed in a directory. Then the whole process begins again with a new Excel spreadsheet, so the file name will change everytime but it's location will not. Basically it's some sort of indexing.

"Basically it's some sort of indexing."

Basically, that's what you have to find the logic for.

I'm thinking browse to variable to locate the excel docs will work as well...

Excel has a GetOpenFilename Method.
